Lebourg was an Impressionist and Post-Impressionist landscape painter of the Rouen School. He created more than 2,000 landscapes, exhibiting 30 works in the 4th Impressionist exhibit of 1879 and 20 works in the 5th exhibit of 1880. He was a member of the Société des Artistes Français and was named Chevalier and then Officer of the Legion of Honor. His works are exhibited at the Musée D’Orsay, Petit-Palais and Carnavalet in Paris, Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rouen, and many others.
