Ludovic-Rodo is the 4th son of Camille Pissarro and worked in oil painting, tempera, watercolor, gouache, wood engraving, drawing, and lithography. He exhibited regularly at the Salon des Indépendents over a forty-year period. At the age of fourteen, he published his first wood engravings in the anarchist journal, Le Pere Peinard, and later participated in the first Fauve exhibition. Rodo is best known for his two-volume catalogue of his father’s works, a project that took him twenty years to complete and is still regarded as the definitive reference book on Camille’s work.
